In America in the beginning, the performance arts achievements of the young Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely have put her in the prodigy child category. For a young Irish girl who was surrounded by gifted parents and extended family these qualities were normal. Maureen was born in Ranelagh - a suburb of Dublin in Ireland, on 17 August 1920. Maureen FitzSimons was the second child of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy FitzSimons, Florrie Fitzsimons Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons completed the wonderful family. Maureen loved playing rough sports when she was an infant and was extremely adept at them. Furthermore, she had a gift acting.
